Once you have completed setting up your ECRM integration the instructions below will help you understand the simple process we have built to streamline your data entry and give you more accurate reporting.
To access the ECRM portion of TodayApp you will go to your main navigation and select ECRM:
To find the information and steps from the State Farm side of ECRM you can visit the Incentive Management Site in ABS where it will show you what fields inside of the ECRM opportunities will be translating over to the TodayApp and we suggest reviewing these with your team as it will help avoid any confusion as you get started with the integration process.
Once you have completed the training from ABS on ECRM opportunities you should start to use the ECRM tab in your TodayApp where it will show the policies that have been sent over from ECRM that are waiting to be imported:
The below information will need to be included for opportunities in ECRM to flow through into the TodayApp:
While the information from these opportunities is showing in your TodayApp system please understand that until they are imported they WILL NOT be updated in policy finder or any reports.
There will be four options when importing these policies.
- Import This will appear when you have a single policy that comes over and has the marketing source, team member, and product all mapped correctly and it will import just like it was input into ECRM.
- Split This will appear only with auto insurance when there is more than 1 vehicle listed. When there is just 1 of any product (including auto) it won’t show any number in the quantity, but when there is multiple autos input into an opportunity you will want to split those up when importing. You simply input the premium for each vehicle but the number just above the Save and Import button must equal $0 before it will let you import the values. This is to keep the report accurate in both the TodayApp as well as in ECRM. If the numbers are incorrect you will need to update the opportunity in ECRM before importing this opportunity.
- Modify When this appears it means either the marketing source or product were not included in the opportunity in ECRM OR that that product or marketing source isn’t mapped in the TodayApp. If it shows the product or marketing source on the import screen then the agent needs to hover over ECRM in the TodayApp and select either Product Mapping or Marketing Source Mapping to ensure that there is less modification required as they or team members are importing policies.
- Update This will appear when something a piece of data comes over from ECRM that is different than is currently in the TodayApp. This means something (name, team member, premium, product, or marketing source) is different and needs to be updated in the TodayApp to match what is in ECRM.
In the top right corner, you can select Reviewed or Excluded if you would like to see opportunities that have already been imported or opportunities that were excluded (meaning they weren’t brought into the TodayApp). Under the Reviewed tab you can go directly to those policies in policy finder by clicking “View Policy” and under the Excluded tab you can undo the exclusion if that policies or update does need to be imported.
We wanted to point out that the permission level a team member has inside the TodayApp will control them being able to import all stages. Many agents do not allow team members to mark policies as issued inside their TodayApp and therefore those team members without the “Issuer” role will not see the Closed Won policies that come over from ECRM as this changes their status in the TodayApp to issued and generates a commission. If you want your team members to be able to import their own Closed Won policies then please review our Roles article in our help area or click this link. If you would like more description of the different roles within the TodayApp we have an article available here.
