Once the agent has set up the integration (mapped Users, Products, and Marketing Sources), the TodayApp account will begin to receive production data that has been entered into ECRM.

Here is a quick overview of the integration:

  • The production data that will flow into TodayApp includes the household name, stage (and date), Status(only applicable to Quote Provided) product, marketing source, and premium.
  • Quotes must have a Status of Quote Provided in order to be sent to TodayApp
    • Once the sale is made, update the opportunity in ECRM to App Submitted. This will update the policy in TodayApp to Written.
    • Once the policy Issues, update the opportunity in ECRM to Closed Won. This will update the policy in TodayApp to Issued.
  • The data entered into ECRM is sent to TodayApp every 5 minutes, so it may be a moment to populate in your account after entering it into ECRM.
  • To view these opportunities, go to the side menu and select ECRM, which will take you to the ECRM Opportunities page.
  • If there is a red dot next to the ECRM button, this indicates that there is data received from ECRM that has not yet been imported.
  • While the information from these opportunities is showing in your TodayApp, until they are imported they WILL NOT be updated in Policy Finder or any reports. Therefore, data on the ECRM Opportunities page is not included in pay reports or production trackers. This data must be imported into the Policy Finder to be included in pay reports and Dashboard Reports.
  • Import the data by selecting the blue button in the Import Status column.

Note: The integration also allows for Added Auto cases to flow into your TodayApp account. Read this internal article from StateFarm on how to make sure Added Autos flow over properly.

There will be four options when importing these policies.

  1. Import This will appear when you have a single policy that comes over and has the marketing source, team member, and product all mapped correctly.
  2. Split This will appear only with auto insurance when there is more than 1 vehicle listed. Selecting the Split import status button will prompt users to fill in the premium and product information for each policy. The number just above the Save and Import button must equal $0 before it will let you import the values.
  3. Modify When this appears it means either the marketing source or product was not included in the opportunity in ECRM OR that that product or marketing source isn’t mapped in the TodayApp. If it shows the product or marketing source on the import screen then the agent needs to hover over ECRM in the TodayApp and select either Product Mapping or Marketing Source Mapping to ensure that there is less modification required as they or team members are importing policies.
  4. Update This will appear when a piece of data comes over from ECRM that is different than is currently in the TodayApp. This means something (name, team member, premium, product, or marketing source) is different and needs to be updated in the TodayApp to match what is in ECRM.

Reviewed In the top right corner, the Reviewed tab shows a list of opportunities that have already been imported. You can select “View Policy” to go directly to that policy in the Policy Finder.

Excluded The Excluded shows a list of opportunities that have been excluded. Selecting Undo will move the opportunity into the Reviewed tab.

In summary:

  1. When the ECRM button on the side menu has a red dot beside it, this means there is new data from ECRM to be addressed.
  2. Click the ECRM button on the side menu to open the ECRM Opportunities page to view the data sent from ECRM.
  3. The data on the ECRM Opportunities page needs to be imported into the Policy Finder in order to be included in production and compensation reports.
  4. To import an opportunity into the Policy Finder, select the blue button in the Import Status column on the right. The opportunity will either import or prompt you to fill in missing information before being imported.
